Weekly reset for PvP quests
Like title says...make the "1 time only" quests from Zenjal [Zaishen Recruiter] obtainable every week. This woud keep pvers comming back to pvp on weekly basis and thus increasing the population of pvp (which is what it really needs)

Well, if only once a week and once per account I think it would be a nice weekly set of quests.

You know you get more boxes for every 5 RA/CA consecs, or a single GvG victory?
Although I'd agree the 5 consecs design is bad. Would rather have a 1/4th chance of a box on every consecutive win or such.

Yep know all about that...and it still not enough to bring me back to pvp.
RA~5 consecs for reward abeit the old way for glad point or new way for 7-8? points and box.....not enough incentive (maybe on zc ra day)
..imo it would be better if it werew like the zc and be 3-5 wins not needing consecs
CA~yeah....I don't even need to say why this one still suxs
GvG~smurfing all the way, which will drive new guilds away
HA~not sure on how it works for ha so cannot comment

If you're playing a PvP format just to complete the box quests, aren't you probably going to leave as soon as you finish the quest? How is that increasing the population?

Reguardless of how long ppl play the formats...they are still playing the formats that otherwise they would not. Look at today's influx...kinda hard to say it hasnt drawn pver's to pvp. At the very least reg pvpers wouldn't have to wait as long for matches due to the constant stream of pvers doing the quests.
It would do the exact same thing zc does, but better.

Agree with lemming

The quests are meant to introduce people to pvp formats, making them repeatable would be stupid.

How do you think zquests promote activity in PvP areas on a daily basis? Hint: they're repeatable. You're rewarded for continually playing them. What incentive is there in playing past the couple of matches per week per area?
You're right that it will increase the number of people PvPing, but that's not the same as building up the population over time.

Better idea would be to add the strongboxes as bonus rewards in zaishen combat quests.

You don't need to play something all the time to break into the format. There are plenty of PvPers who only log on once a week to GvG/HA for a couple matches. What matters is not so much how many days/hours of the week they put into it, but that they come back regularly and continue to give the format a chance. If every single PvE'er in the game played GvG once a week only, the activity would still skyrocket. If more people are giving the format a chance, then maybe every week a small portion of them will enjoy it enough to start networking and playing seriously.

^^This is basically what I had in mind.....Tbh it really doesnt matter if pvers just pop-in and pop-out as long as they pop-in repeatedly. Ya'll know that the zc doesnt work well enough....if the new quests were weekly then there would be a ppl comming in at their leisure over the course of the week vs just on one day.
Besides what harm would it do really? Only thing I can think of is that the pvpers dont want the rewards obtainable for the more casual crowd. (we want more ppl for pvp we are just not willing to share rewards to gain ppl)

To play devil's advocate, it's possible a small percentage of those PvE players will do the quests weekly and eventually it will stop being a "quest" and they'll legitimately enjoy PvP and become regulars. That would help build the population slowly over time.
Do I actually believe that will happen? Who knows? Gotta give A.net credit for at least trying. Wish it was sooner, but oh well.

I dunno, RA, AB, and both competitive missions are pretty full on zquest days.
Money is easy enough to get in this game. Is it really necessary to have another source of traveler's gifts every week?

If that's the intention, I feel like it'd work a lot better if those quests at least required wins.

Considering that there are huge threads like HA in crisis, GvG in crisis, and the fact that codex is virtually empty....yeah I would say something else is necessary.
I'll agree with a required win being better than just participation as it'll encourage actually thinking abit and improving at least enough to win. I however do not agree with 5+ consecs....2-3 sounds good as it'll negate resigning yet not be such as pain as to keep casuals out.

It's a tutorial quest, designed to get brand new players to the area (it even teleports you there cause new players wouldn't know how to map travel). You want rewards for playing RA/Codex, there is already the z-combat quests, which are good enough.
Rewards aren't going to get PvEers to all switch over to PvP. It's a temporary "oh shiney and new" fix but is not a permanent fix that people are flocking to RA now due to the quest. If it stayed around, people would eventually get bored with it and leave.

How would zquests encourage people to play in those organized formats, though? They require even more effort, knowledge, and skill, which means that for people with zero experience, there's an incentive to go in and get the quest reward as quickly as possible, then get out. If they require winning, then PvEers wouldn't play them at all.
If anything, in the other formats, you'd want to make the quest requirement the absolute longest that players are willing to actually invest time into trying to do, in order to maximize the time they spend playing.
